Colbalt levels 86. how concerned shold I be?
I was referred to the Mayo in March. Dr Rafael Sierra has my case.
Checking schedules I find out I am at least 5 months out.
My Colbalt levels are at 86. They suggested I request my referring Dr to send a URGENT FAX to Mayo. Which I have. I just got on opiates for the pain. They mess with my sense of well being. I am being to
overreactive.

My wife had Cobalt toxin in her body from a failing hip implant of 17.6! They did emergency surgery and removed the medal on medal implant!
Cobalt toxicity can manifest in various ways, including:
Cardiomyopathy: Heart problems, including enlargement and impaired pumping.
Hearing and vision problems: Deafness and vision impairment.
Nerve problems: Neurological issues, including nerve damage and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
Thyroid problems: Imbalances in thyroid hormone production.
Thickening of the blood: Increased risk of blood clots.
Importance of Monitoring:
If you have a metal-on-metal hip replacement and experience any symptoms, it's crucial to consult your orthopedic surgeon and primary care physician immediately. Early detection and management of cobalt toxicity can help prevent or minimize potential health problems.
Thanks for your comments. I got assigned to Dr Sierra.
New blood tests tomorrow. I am moving in the right direction.
Lots of good luck!
