Clinical Trials-when, what, where??

I thought it would be good to have a separate discussion area for clinical trials. There is so much to discuss in this area.

If you are looking for one, a new easy to use site has been created for you to search or for your physicians.

http://Www.tricanhealth.com

Exclusively for pancreatic cancer at this time.

Interested in more discussions like this? Go to the Pancreatic Cancer Support Group.

Thank you for providing this website information. I just went out and checked the site out. It was very easy to navigate and you have the option to save trial information to your profile.

Thank you for your time and effort. My husband starts a new clinical trial this month. 8 months of chemo and an aborted whipple surgery. Tumor is still growing and cancer spreading in liver. Scary choice to take this new path

I know it is a path that creates much apprehension. But, I do find from my limited experience that the patient is tracked much more closely in a trial than with your oncologist.
I hope people will post here their progress or changes on the many different trials available.
The more we know early, the better decisions we can make with our doctors

BTW, as a follow up to my previous message, some may want to share this website with their physicians. So often, our oncologists really don’t have the bandwidth to find trials for us. We have to do it ourselves! But, this would give them a tool for our disease that will be more time-effective then NIH. No cost to them or us.

Hello everyone, I thought I would share the clinical trial that I am in right now. I’m doing my trial at Sarah Cannon in Nashville, TN. I’m in a phase 2a trial of the IMM-1-104 drug. The NCT#NCT05585320, but Nashville refers to it as RM 1070. The clinical drug is taken orally every day and I go to Nashville every 2 weeks for SOC chemo of gem/abraxen. I had my first set of scans this week (after 6 weeks of treatment) and the scans show the treatment is working, I give all the glory to GOD and my wonderful support system. To determine it is working they look at 2 specific liver lesions to make comparisons with, lesion 1 shrunk by 2mm and lesion 2 is stable. They all made note that my lesions are less dense (hypodensity).
Quick history of me -
I was diagnosed Jan 2024 (age 61), I was considered a candidate for the whipple, so I did the chemo, radiation, and then had the whipple Sep 2024. Unfortunately, April 2025 my follow-up scans showed some lesions in my liver. I had a liver biopsy and had the Tempus report to find my mutations which are KRAS G12R and TP53. All of the above treatment was done at Mayo Rochester. Mayo didn’t have any spots available a clinical trial that was for first line. So I diligently used all the website that I learned about on this awesome website to find a trial!!
So I ended up in Nashville, TN. God had a plan, Nashville is a 4 hour drive for us compared to the 9 hour drive to Mayo. Don’t get me wrong I’m thankful to Mayo for all the care and support I received there and if I would need to receive any treatment there again, I would go with no hesitation.

May GOD bless everyone on this website. I have to believe they are close to finding a cure for this disease, it’s out there. We can be survivors!

Thank you for posting this and congrats on the good news! Some say clinical trials should be our appetizer instead of the dessert. I wish I had known this in 2021. But it’s never too late to try another as long as we are physically healthy and fit the requirements. Love you are in a phase 2 trial.

You say some say clinical trials should be our appetizer instead of the dessert. Please help me with this. I was under the mindset that trials are pursued when all else fails. You know way more than I do, so I really value your opinion. Can you please elaborate on this for me? Thank you.
