Chronic nerve pain - knees

Posted by covenantdga @covenantdga, Jan 13 9:02pm

Have been diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy and had a Laminectomy and Spinal Fusion from T-10 to S-1. The surgery did not fix my mobility and nerve connection issues. I continue to digress.

My is that with nerve damage can your knee ache like you have severe arthritis? Is it associated with lower back issues. I could not have arthritis since I have two artificial knees.

Anybody experience anything like this ? I have seen doctor after doctors and at least 5 neurologists with different subspecialties and all I get are follow up blood tests and MRI / EEGs. Nobody seems to be able to help me. I had a sister who suffered for years and saw all kinds of doctors who basically treated her like she was crazy. She was determined and kept seeing doctors and doing her own research and was finally diagnosed with RSD which is a neurological condition which can be very debilitating with few treatment options.
Would just like to get answers ……

You might want to also follow the neuropathy help group. One thing you will hear there is that some nerve pain can never be eliminated, but can be subdued with a combination of prescription meds and topical creams. Good luck.
