Posted by iesharas19 @iesharas19, 1 day ago

So I've been experiencing chest pain in the middle of my chest now for on going 8 months now, and currently still have.. I've been to my doctor's alot because of this issue they keep brushing it off with its costocondritis etc etc which it's not I went and got a endoscopy done a couple months ago now and it came back as chronic gastritis.. so i thought yes okay thats why i must have these pains I'm experiencing I've been put on different medications omperazole etc etc but im finding it not helpful.. Ive also started getting heart palpitations within a month or so ive got a referral to go for a resting ecg.. but i feel myself in my own body there's something going on in my chest it's only the right side where my heart is.. I'm scared to go back to the doctor/hospital cause they keep pushing me away and to go home.. I'm really stuck and I'm in heaps of pain all the time.

It's good to check out possible heart problems as you will do with ekg, since it's always possible that it's a cardiac issue. However, if you have GI issues the chest pain could stem from that. I consulted Dr. Google and it said that gastritis can cause chest pains. I have chest pains a lot, and I have GERD and a hiatal hernia. What I eat and how I sit/sleep affects whether I have chest pains. Maybe keep a diary of when you get the chest pains, and note the food you've been eating and whether you were moving, sitting or lying down. I often change my sitting position to relieve chest pains. I also sleep sitting up to avoid chest pains. I also feel better when I eat a low acid, whole food diet. I don't know if that's recommended for gastritis, or if another diet is. Also many people find deep breathing exercises helpful to calm the vagus nerve, which can cause pain when irritated. Do they check you for h. pylori, a bacteria that can cause GI issues? Did they find evidence of a hiatal hernia? Sometimes if it's a sliding HH the endoscopy may miss it. Anyway, there are a few things you can do on your own to see if it alleviates the pain while you continue your medical search to make sure it's not your heart. I wish you well.
