Carcinoid syndrome and testing positive for THC

Has anyone else ever found that they've tested positive for THC after a recent Carcinoid Syndrome "event" (flushing, etc.)?
While I have used CBD/THC gummies in the past to help with sleep, I've not used them for a number of months. However, a recent pain management urine test returned a positive result for a fairly highlevel of THC. I was baffled by the result given that, as mentioned, I hadn't used any gummies for months (nor smoked or vaped, or anything like that). As this clinic has a zero-tolerance policy, I've since been "dismissed as a patient".
Trying to understand how I could have tested positive, I purchased what I was told by my pharmacist are accurate and reliable home THC test strips. Over roughly the last week, I've had multiple positive tests (each positive being double checked) while also having tested negative both earlier and later in the day. Each time I've tested positive, I've had a carcinoid event just prior to testing.
Thinking back on the morning of that recent pain doctor urine collection, I'm quite certain I'd had a carcinoid event just prior to the appointment. In any case, the coincidence of the carcinoid events I've experienced and the positive results using the home tests seems convincing to me of a correlation. The problem is that I can't seem to find anything about this online and haven't had the opportunity to discuss this with my oncologist.

Has anyone else ever experienced this themselves or heard of this being experienced by others?
