Cannabis as adjunct aid for ADT Side effects?

Posted by starman @starman, Apr 7 7:53am

Cannabis is legal here in Canada.I’ve heard much about CBD and THC possibly helping in dealing with ADT side effects.I have a prescription for medical marijuana and find it helps me.Anyone out there willing to discuss their experience?

I may be starting ADT again so I have been wondering the same thing. Hope to hear from someone with experience.

I used cannabis regularly during my recovery from total knee replacement and it really helped. I was on bicalutimide for two months and used cannabis regularly except when I abstained for a three week period when I was traveling overseas. I started Firmagon 5 weeks ago. The only noticeable side effects I had from the bicalutimide was nipple tenderness and slight swelling around the nipples. So far I have had similar side effects from the Firmagon but nothing else noticeable. I get my second Firmagon shot today. Time will tell if I experience additional side effects as the medicine takes hold.

I was on bicaludamide then Degaralix for 2 years. Now I’m on Lupron x 4 months along with 120mg of Erleada(Apaludamide). I had hot flashes, bad constipation and back and leg muscle severe pain. I found that microdosing with the THC in Cannabis hit the sweet spot. I was not ‘stoned’ and found that this regimen took the edge off the pain. I do not recommend using this as THC can give a bad experience.

I use CBD/THC gummies to offset some ADT side effects. I use them as a sleep assists, or to stabilize my emotional peaks and rallies. These were recommend to me by my palliative psychologist. We discuss them at our quarterly palliative counseling sessions. Very helpful.
