Cancerous tumor removed

Posted by forcv @forcv, Apr 7, 2023

A loved one with chronic Lyme disease, diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, is recovering from surgery where the tumor and several lymph nodes were removed. He will be having a scan to find out where, if any, the cancer has spread and will be seeing his oncologist after that. Prior tests before his surgery indicate that it has spread to his lungs. What questions should he ask his oncologist for both his care and best treatment? What are the latest treatments out there? What are the better chemo treatments? Are there non-chemo treatments? What to do/what not to do?
