Can the Jiffy Knee be done for a knee revision?

I had a partial knee replacement done four years ago. The hardware has not failed, but I've had nothing but problems with the tissue swelling and pain. Had a scope done a year later and the meniscus was cleaned up. I now am having a knee revision done with a total replacement. There's no information I can find if the Jiffy Knee can be performed for a revision. The surgeon I spoke to said they do it all the time. However, I'm getting very nervous that this technique won't allow a full visualization of what they need to remove the old hardware and install new. It's a much longer surgery and more involved for a revision. Anyone had it done for a revision?

Part of your question I cannot answer because both of my knees were replaced using partials, not totals. But the part I can answer is about your concern of getting nervous with minimal incisions. When I found out that my surgeon utilizes basically the same full length incision to access the knee for a partial as a total, I felt good about it knowing that the increased visualization for the operator was going to be good for me. The scar length does not bother me, potentially diminished visualization due to attempts to minimize scarring, would.
