Can SFN cause flu-like symptoms and irritating cough

I am experiencing flu-like symptoms and non-stopped irritating cough for extended duration on a daily basis over the last 4 months. I am wondering whether SFN could be the trigger?

Hi @nukhan, To be honest I have never heard of flu-like symptoms being associated with small fiber neuropathy but I did find some information on the topic that might shed some light on your question.

"Vagus nerve dysfunction can trigger cough[23]. Chronic neuropathy of the laryngopharyngeal nerve, a branch of the vagus nerve, presents with symptoms of laryngeal irritation such as chronic cough, stridor, throat irritation, dysphonia, and foreign body sensation in the throat."

Have you discussed the symptoms with your doctor or neurologist to see if they have any suggestions?
