Can lpr or gerd cause burning sensation on jaw/face?

Before anyone thinks this is a heart attack! Its not. Stuff has happened for weeks and ive had my heart checked by a cardiologist. Im a mexican woman, 25 years old.
I had racing heart episodes in december. Got medicated for anxiety. That seems to be over but now i have, what doctor suspects its either GERD or LPR. An endoscopy is warranted, to know if helicobacter pylori is going funky on my stomach or theres something else. My bottom teeth are sensitive, theres always a bitter taste in my mouth.

Now, i was eating and then i get an episode of a burning-hot feeling in my cheek that can be felt on the outside, on my skin, left side (I know, scary, heart related scary) As if i had rubbed jalapeño on the skin. Its not intense or unbearable, but its there. Lasts like 20 seconds and disappears. Its the second time it happens, the first time i wasnt eating.

I know i should ask my gp. Im currently waiting for the reflux treatment to work and to summon the courage to have the endoscopy done.
Has anyone gone through something similar? Could it be due to damaged nerves in my teeth or due to my scoliosis?

I also have scoliosis. And my left arm hurts, my left neck hurts. I know, it sounds heart related. But doctors think im fine regarding that.

Yes….reflux can be the answer. I had the burning in my mouth that affected tongue and tooth and talking and eating. Recently had esophagus scope and diagnosed with gastritis with hyperplasia, reflux, and Barrett’s esophagus. Sulcrafate liquid before bed and 1 hr before meals helped at 30 days okc treatment that also included a ppi 40 mg twice daily and baclofen low dose 5 mg 3 times during day and bedtime. Just know it takes time to work. When burning breaks thru I take pepsid complete chewable which works pretty quickly within the hour. Good luck!
