Can a dry orgasm after prostatectomy still be pleasurable?
Hi all,
I had my prostate removed and was told that my orgasm would be dry due to the removal of the seminal vesicles. Is it still pleasurable to have sex without that feeling of fullness when you are about to orgasm?

Yes dry orgasm can be very pleasurable. It’s not as intense as before but still feels good.

1. What is your source for this claim?
2. Even if so, the prostate gland as a whole is physically involved with an ejaculation. I wouldn't think residual prostate cancer cells would be affected by an orgasm, but I could be wrong.
@readandlearn Because, if you have an orgasm and ejaculation with a prostate , your PSA level will go up .

Why would they? Your PSA level is a function of hormones, not of orgasms.

5 ReactionsAbsolutely you can have fantastic dry orgasms. I really can't tell the difference except there's no mess for me or my wife to clean up!

8 ReactionsI have dry orgasms and they are much more intense and pleasurable than before surgery. I say dry when referring to semen output, although thanks to the surgery, I do still ejaculate urine at high velocity; so, I need to make sure I limit fluids, empty my bladder, and roll a condom on before sex.
