Calmare Therapy, also called Scrambler worked for me. 15 one hour treatments. Expensive, $250 a session. It is worth it for me. Radiant Pain Centers. Chicago and Portland Or. 503 379 0790. Very friendly and knowable and give advice.

2 ReactionsAsk them for a discount because nobody knows if it will work for you. My pain clinic in CT gave me a discount ($75 a session) and I did it for 3 days in a row. I'm glad I asked because after 3 days the next morning the neuropathy was much stronger. Goodbye to Calmare. Everyone is different. It seemed to slowly revert to the previous level in about 3 weeks but I was using walking stick for a few days.
HI Becky,
I'm still unsure how to navigate this website and there is so much information on here so I hope you will be getting my response. I tried the Calmare approach. Basically it was ten sessions everyday for 10 days not including weekends. Unfortunately, at least for me, it did not help me. Then again, everything I have ever tried between medicines and holistic approaches have not really helped. It sounds like for others, some things have helped them. For me, accepting the new normal and not fighting it and trying to live life to the fullest, has been the best approach. I will admit, that's not always easy.

2 ReactionsI was diagnosed with severe idiopathic neuropathy years ago, and no one has helped me. Neurologist sent me to pain mgmt. and my doctor has given me oxycodone and gabapentin to also cover my back issues since 2010.
A well known acupuncturist refused to help me because of the years of Oct codons (which allows me to function at all).
Where do I go from here? I get no more than 3 hours sleep and at 78, it is debilitating in my last few years.
Is everyone else told there is no real help?
I tried the Scrambler Therapy for 6 days @ $350.00 per day. Unfortunately, it did nothing for me. Good luck to those who try this treatment.
