Burping all throughout the day: Any solutions?
I'm on two 40mg of omeprazole a day morning and evening and three 20mg of pepsid and special diet and drink 9+ glasses of water but I burp all day, anyone have a solution. I took swallowing lessons, and do the exercises, have a nutritionist doctor coach and gastro says with gastroporesis and surgery that I just have to live with it. Sometimes I take two tums with little relief. I have IBS too but that is controlled. My only vitamins and supplement are Zinc (I just added it) D3, b12 and Vit E. I exercise with bands in the morning for 40 +minutes and walk twice a day for 45 minutes each time or longer.

Sorry, I have no answers or ideas to help…my husband burps constantly all day too and takes similar medications. I’m following in case we hear any suggestions ! Good luck in finding something that helps.

Same here. My husband can only get nutrition via gastric feeding tube. The burping starts as he takes the Nutren shake, continues an hour or two, and relents right around the time it's time for his next Nutren shake! It's a struggle. Hang in there!
I have been told that it's due to my gastroparesis and my esophagectomy because there's no valves to hold my food down. My Gastro said I have to live with it because any medicine I would take would cause me to have probably a lot of loose bowels -burping is very unpleasant I don't like it at all. I even wake up burping, and I stop eating at 4;45 and andget up at 4:15 and begin drinking water only. I guess I have to live with this.
