Brown Tongue after Total Knee Replacement Surgery

Posted by covidstinks2023 @covidstinks2023, 8 hours ago

I am 5 weeks out from total knee replacement surgery. My tongue is brown down the middle since surgery and I had a bad case of thrush from the I.V. antibiotic and meds. The thrush is cleared up, but I still have the brown in middle. I am faithful about brushing and flossing.

Primary Care doctor says I'm dehydrated and that is why tongue is brown. I drink lots of liquids all day long.

Anyone else dealt with this and found a solution other than what I am already doing?

Thanking you in advance. Blessings....

That is too bad that you have this condition! Besides drinking various liquids drink a lot of water! If you are dehydrated then you really need water more than any other liquid. As we get older we need more water than when we were younger. At least I know I do and I'll be 80 next month. I hope this helps.
