Breast Cancer Survivor

Posted by vadsings @vadsings, Oct 9, 2012

I have just been diagnosed with DCIS after having a cyst removed containing Grade 0 carcinoma. I am awaiting an MRI this morning. I meet with a radiation oncologist this Friday. Can anyone tell me what radiation is like?

I went through 33 treatments after having Lx and SNB. I did fine, but my nipple is still swollen and almost white 2 months afterwards. Let me know if you want more info. Use lotion they recommend religiously!!

I had 6 weeks of rads after mastectomy and it makes you very tired. I would pass out on my bed and not even realize it. Plan your day afterwards well and apply a lot of lotions afterwards.
