Bone Coach Kevin Ellis, Dr Doug Lucas or Dr Keith McCormick?
I am considering Bone Coach Kevin Ellis or Dr. Doug Lucas to help me with my “gameplan” for osteoporosis. Have any of you used either one?
I am 64, recently diagnosed with OP. I have decided not to go on meds at this time with the agreement of my endocrinologist. I have no underlying issues, other than a vitamin D deficiency and insufficient intake of calcium.
I am on the web several times each day researching and I think having one of their services would help me. Based on what I have read about them, they will coach me through diet, exercise, and recommend what they think would help me.
I think they are pretty expensive, at least $15,000 from several sources. Is my health worth that? OF COURSE! I would gladly give up next year’s vacation, BUT are they worth it??
I am already seeing a dietitian, I have seen a PT (both paid by my insurance) and I am starting to train with an osteoporosis-trained person. I think other supplements would help which I am researching.
Have any of you used Dr Keith McCormick’s services? I am also considering him and his cost is only around $500.
Any thoughts? Comments??

It seems that there are good sources of help that don’t cost a fortune, especially if you are proactive and willing to do the research from reliable sources like Mayo Climic or Cleveland Clinic , Harvard health guides online, etc…. It’s worth the effort and some well-focused expenditure. PT that focuses on osteoporosis is one thing I feel is worthwhile. There are some good combo supplements out there, worth some time researching - I checked mine first with doctors. Good luck ! Let us know how you are doing.
There has been much discussion on existing threads under the label Osteoporosis. I would hate it if you missed all of that discussion and experience by depending on a new thread. Check it out.
@shelldct1 Doctors advertising high priced solutions on the internet always raise a big RED FLAG fot me. If they were that good people would be beating their door down. And any proprietary supplements can be acquired through your local practitioners and shops.
Shelldct1, don't decide until you've read McCormicks's book and watched all of Lucas' videos.
I'm partial to Lucas' ideas, but the ads. I wouldn't buy any of the products they sell. I see Sue's red flags.
Part of the value of each is that they make us feel safer. But it can be good to have the encouragement and engagement of these programs. You might schedule consultations with each before buying in to the whole program.
I hope you come back and tell us everything you find out.
