Blood in semen fluid.

I have blood in my semen after a prostrate biopsy done at the beginning of June. Also most of the time there is no fluid. Is this normal after a biopsy?

I had blood a couple times after my biopsies. I also had blood after my seed implant. About 4months after my surgery and radiation therapy I stopped ejecting any fluid at all and was told it was normal. Today after 15yrs and cancer free I have a good sex life but it also takes a partner who understands and helps out with our sex lifestyle. Good luck my friend

Did you get the results?
If they haven't come in yet, here's what they could mean:

PI-RADS 1: very low (clinically significant cancer is highly unlikely to be present)

PI-RADS 2: low (clinically significant cancer is unlikely to be present)

PI-RADS 3: intermediate (the presence of clinically significant cancer is equivocal)

PI-RADS 4: high (clinically significant cancer is likely to be present)

PI-RADS 5: very high (clinically significant cancer is highly likely to be present)

Very common. I had my TRUS biopsy earlier this year. I was not educated very well by my doctor on the expectations of that, so it was pretty freaky the first time my wife and I fooled around afterwards. But after a few weeks, it was gone. That particular "side effect" should not worry you, as it is normal.

This is normal I've had two Biopsies and each time it took about 8 weeks to clear the blood out of my Semen. Drink lots of water. The instructions they give you mention this as a side effect but they don't tell you how long you will have it, or how horrible it looks. I originally found this forum with this exact question. Some of us here have different names for this "Murder Semen" "Vampire Semen" but nothing can really prepare you for seeing that much blood. I was expecting semen and blood not something out of a horror movie.

Completely normal. It happened a couple of times with me, post-biopsy. It disappeared about three weeks after biopsy. I am surprised that your doctor didn't include that in their post-biopsy "what to expect" discussion or informational sheet. You'll be fine.
