Oh so sorry for the bad stuff following embolization. Not sure if it is helpful but right after I had ablation of liver mets, I felt like I had hepatitis-pain severe in the liver area, aches and pains galore, weakness. I was told that each ablated area created an inflammation which made my liver feel sick. All complaints went away in 2 weeks and ablations “removed” 9 of the larger tumors. I am unsure if my liver function blood work was abnormal during that time but my liver sure was not happy till it healed.

I am sorry to hear of your many problems since embolization. As @davisnrn mentioned, sometimes there is a worsening of symptoms after embolization. What was the date of your embolization?

Please remember that if you don't feel that your concerns are being addressed, it is always your right to seek a second opinion. Are you currently seeing a NET specialist?

My embolization was January 12, 2023
It took me about a month to truly recover
After the embolization I got bad leg pains and dealt with it thinking it was my sciatica acting up
But my leg pains had gotten worst
March 16th I got worst
My liver surgeon from my resection in 2019 said it is most likely from the embolization procedure and that in time it should get better
However I need to get an MRI to make sure no permanent damage was done to my liver
I will get that the first week of April
My liver surgeon is a NET specialist in a team with Dr Wolin in Mount Sinai in NYC
My GI NET specialist is at Sloan Kettering in NYC
I think and hope I am in good hands
Thank you for getting back to me
I am do grateful

Hello @sophiarose,

I certainly look forward to hearing from you again. Has your MRI of the liver been scheduled yet? Will you continue to post with any concerns or questions?
