Bisphosphonates and CoQ10

I just read an article that recommends taking 100mg. daily of CoQ10 to offset one of the side effects of Bisphosphonates. Bisphosphonates are potent inhibitors of an enzyme called farnesyl diphosphate (FFPS). It is an important catalyzer for the production of ubiquinol, also called CoQ10. The heart, lungs, kidneys and liver, in particular, need good amounts to function properly. Unfortunately, normal production decreases with age, and it is hard to get enough ubiquinol through food. Therefore the recommendation. I got this information through a website http://www.saveourbones.com. It has many interesting articles regarding osteoporosis. I am not advising anyone to stop their osteoporosis medications, if they feel it is working for them, but I believe the information regarding the supplementation of CoQ10 seems like sound advice.
