Biopsy Results

I got my biopsy results today, but my appointment is not until Tuesday. My right breast results literally say "negative for atypia and malignancy." The left breast results do not say that, but note calcifications. There is no clear cancer diagnosis, but I am very concerned because the left breast results do not have that specific line underneath the results. Just trying to ease my mind before Tuesday.

Non concerning calcifications will just say calcifications. What is your BIRADS score?

@wolvescoachkatie there might not be a birads score to look for. If there is calcifications that means they will look a little closer but it does not mean cancer. Currently, other than number and placement of calcification there is not a great way to know which ones will turn cancerous or not. Maybe in the future there will be a better determining factor for this.
I believe right now you should take a deep breath and wait to hear from your doctors. I am glad you had your biopsies because if it finds a pre cancer condition it can be monitored more closely, and if it doesn’t you will have some peace of mind.
What are you doing to relieve the anxiety of waiting for tomorrow’s appointment? Is there breast cancer in your family history?
