Best Supportive Car Cushions
After several months, my spinal compression fractures have healed, and I’m ready to drive again. Can anyone recommend a car seat or set of cushions that will support my thoracic and lumbar spine? There are so many choices out there! Unfortunately, I’ve lost some height (😭), so the bottom cushion needs added inches.

Don't know about specific cushions...but I used a simple car seat cushion I had for years, last year when I had fractured. I discovered that the air bag light would disconnect when using cushion in passenger seat. Googled the problem (we have a Suburu), so we had to place tin foil under the cushion to engage air bag protection. Don't think its a problem in driver seat.

Your mention of airbags did made my eyes go wide. 😳 I think a deployed airbag would crunch my spine into potato chips! 😬 I will never disconnect the bags, but still… Anyway, I’m praying for everyone’s safety on the road!

3 ReactionsI like that cushion setup! I've been using Cushion Lab's seat cushion for years. I cannot drive without it. But their back support cushion is too hard for me. I am forever buying new back cushions.
