Yes, my PT introduced the BEMER to me a couple of years ago. She had two of the older models and then bought three of the newer, updated models for use in her practice. When she got the newer ones, she lent the older models to her patients. I was able to use one of those for about 6 months at home and then in June of 2024, decided to invest in the newer model (which has more electromagnetic coils than the old model) for myself. My specific issue is distal symmetric axonal-demyelinating sensorimotor peripheral neuropathy, the initial EMG diagnosis having been done late in 2021. While the BEMER doesn't alleviate the symptoms that bother me most (balance and gait), its use in my life creates a much better feeling of well-being because it does what it claims to do in terms of improved circulation and therefore increased blood and nutrients to the muscles and organs, and it definitely decreases the effects of the severe carpel syndrome that I was diagnosed with last year in my second EMG. The purchase was, for me, a great decision because it helps me to stay independent in my own home, which is my goal. I'm 77, female, and widowed, and among my many blessings is the joy of all the help that MayoConnect affords.
