Belly button pressure/burning constant pain
For the last 6 months I have been dealing with very uncomfortable pressure behind the belly button. There can also be a sensation like burning and stinging in and around the belly button.
I have had a colonoscopy, stool tests, breath test and bloodwork that found nothing. I had umbilical hernia surgery as a CT scan showed a small hernia. I am past the surgery recovery stage and the surgery did not alleviate symptoms.
I’m not sure what to do next, please let me know if you have any ideas on what is going on and what I haven’t tried

I’ve had a very similar experience following umbilical (incisional) hernia surgery a year ago. The only difference is I had little to no pain before surgery even though the hernia was large. But I do have B12 neuropathy and believe the surgery and/or the inserted plastic mesh caused some nerve damage which could be permanent. I don’t like taking meds but had to for pain and associated nausea. I take minimal gabapentin. It reduces the symptoms to a manageable level. Good luck to you.

Diagnosed with Functional Dyspepsia.
What I have found helpful is FDGard and prescribed SSRI.
Still have flares but that has been better treatment than antacids and PPI. I also avoid NSAIDs.
Too much stress and/or spicy/greasy food are main triggers now.
