Arthritic migrating pain with Lyme disease

With the forbidden use of cortisone injections for lyme disease driven arthritic pain in knees and back.. what are the alternatives? I’ve begun dealing with usual orthopedic doctors for migrating pain and swelling in knee joints and usual back pain but the go to drug is cortisone injections and/or surgery. Not allowed for Lyme immune suppression use. Comments-

While we can’t have cortisone, the alternatives are few. An mri taken to a physical therapist, acupuncture, chair yoga, and simple guided therapy is helpful. I’ve had LD for over 35 yrs and the lack of attention, the continued ignorance of this disease is beyond comprehension. Forget about any real help- you have to do the leg work.
