Are most surgeons using Hood technique or Retzius sparing RARP?

Much faster & more complete continence recovery & some studies indicate less frequent ED & less penile contracture. Hood technique may not be favorable in anterior prostate tumors. Are most RARP surgeons using this?

@keywest19 I am meeting with surgeon Monday. He likely uses Hood but if not I will get more opinions.

@lyricw , you're way more informed than I ever was. I didn't even know to ask and didn't find out until I read the surgical notes. I thank God that I had a skilled surgeon and that I went to Mayo, I don't think my local practice has the same type skills.

LOL, I had my prostatectomy 10 days ago. I spent 5 months researching my options, but I guess not thoroughly enough, because I never heard of those techniques. Too late now! My surgeon did mention that he used a technique that may make incontinence less severe. I'll ask him next time we communicate.
