Anyone have Thoracic radiculopathy, Polyradiculitis, Neuropathic pain and Facial nerve palsy ? Started end of Sep 2023 with what I thought was shingles, but was both sides from front to back. Pain slowly got worse until I had to go to ER. ER treated me for Bells Palsy and Opioids for the pain. Back to ER in a few weeks with more pain. Opioids not helping. Given more Opioids at same dose. Meanwhile my mobility is getting bad. Upper front of my right leg now numb and muscles non responsive and painful. Finally the end of Dec 2023 I gave in to going back to ER. Pain and mobility issues intolerable. Was admitted and spent two weeks in hospital. Barely could walk myself to the bathroom (with help). More Opioids and large doses of steroids. The tests began! I don't think there is a test that I haven't gotten. Tons of information, but all the DRs just shrug their shoulders and don't know what is causing this or how to fix it. Left the hospital with a bag full of meds and supplements. Have tapered off of most of the meds except for DULoxetine (CYMBALTA), pregabalin (LYRICA) and some supplements the HP prescribed. My symptoms have improved a lot, but I still have tightened muscles around my mid torso and still have two different fingers on each hand that are numbish and sensitive. I am able to do a lot, but still have to be careful not to loose my balance and still have sharp pains mostly on my mid torso from time to time. Tried to stop the Lyrica, but nerve pain seemed to come back. Is there anyone out there with the torso neuropathy and bells palsy? What have you learned or who is helping you?
