Anyone taking Lenvima (lenvatinib)?

My thyroid cancer spread to my lungs, too. I have 40 nodules. I am very scared to start with Lenvatinib, too.

Hei, is there any one in this group that take a covid vaccine? I just did and i am scared because i read in another group that the vaccine will make thyroid cancers grow and doubled fast. Any comments?

@lilyann how aare you? did you start with lenvima?

i am scheduled to take levima, and begin target radiation after my dental work is done. is anyone else taking this levima? lymph nodes taking over after radical neck dissection in 2023.

This June my husband started taking a daily dose of 14mg Lenvatinib and has tolerated it pretty well. Keeping weight on has been an issue so he drinks very high calorie “meal replacements”, in addition to his meals, 2-3 times a day. His blood pressure has remained normal. At times he has temperature sensitivity to cold in his hands, and for about a week or so, went through some major joint pain in his hips. He gets tired, but is able to continue working as normal. More than anything, he gets an upset stomach and nausea 3-4 days a week. He has been able to manage it with Zofran.
He just had a 3-month follow up MRI and bloodwork showing shrinking masses and improved Tg level. Also, no new disease progression. All reassuring.
He will continue at this dose for now since tumors are shrinking and side effects are tolerable. Follow-up appointment in 3 months.

Hei, I was admitted last month in the hospital because of bleeding ulcer in the stomach.
This week which is a manday I was admitted in the hospital again because of TIA. I am scared. I have not started with lenvima yet because my lung nodules is stable.

@lilyann Hypersensitivity to inactive ingredients
The inactive ingredients (excipients) in different brands of levothyroxine can cause an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction, leading to a rash and itching. Some people with this reaction found their symptoms resolved after switching to a different formulation, such as a liquid or a brand with different excipients.
Itching from a change in thyroid levels
Itching can also be a sign of hyperthyroidism, a condition caused by having too much thyroid hormone. This may occur if your levothyroxine dose is too high
Tirosint capsules do not contain fillers such as gluten, lactose, or dyes, which are often found in tablet forms of levothyroxine. This makes it a suitable alternative for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or absorption issues.

Tirosint has a very minimal list of inactive ingredients:
Tirosint gel capsules: The liquid form of levothyroxine in gel capsules contains just three inactive ingredients: gelatin, glycerin, and water.
Tirosint-SOL liquid: The single-dose ampules are even more minimalist, containing only glycerol and water along with the active ingredient
The "clean" formulation of Tirosint and Tirosint-SOL can be beneficial for certain patients for several reasons:
Fewer allergens: A common reason for intolerance to standard levothyroxine tablets is an allergy or sensitivity to the fillers and binders they contain, such as lactose or cornstarch.
