Axon therapy is the only thing that really work as long as you don't have spinal stenosis, I had 7 great days with pain level in my feet down from 8+ to 1/half of %,then my stenosis kick in, I have had about all the meds and different therapy there is ,Axon is the only one that worked for me with no meds to buy. Go to Google search bar add Axon therapy Augusta, Georgia VA there's only about 20 new places in US that have this therapy.A lot of web sites say they have, but don't, I have done over a year in research before I tried Axon It was well worth it.good luck
I have had peripheral neuropathy since 2017. I'm not sure if it is progressing or these are flares. From a few inches above my ankle to my feet I have terrible burning pain which is worse at night. Does anyone else have this problem? It feels like my skin has hot oil poured on it. If so, what helps.

I've only tried Gabapentin & Lyrica neither of which helped. No supplements of any kind. I just lived with it but I did try different shoes.

I feel like I am also losing my fine motor skills. And coordination. It's difficult for me to separate what symptoms are due to aging and which to PN.
I'm thinking about PT to build up my leg strength so I can walk. I do weight work at home, but would like specific exercises to aid in coordination and balance.
Congrats survivor!!
My PN also caused by brain trauma. Meningiomas and craniotomy, conventional radiation and 2 x stereotactic. Then meds to deal with seizures after stereotactic radiation. Those are a trip, I tell you!
No cure for me. Time will not heal these wounds. I don't like to rest, but find I need to rest my legs.
Cheers!
Muscle atrophy is part of neuropathy. My last stage is 5. I have fallen the last two days. Chipped my ankle and fractured it. Looking at an ankle replacement. When you keep falling you end up permanently in wheelchair. You loose fine motor skills. I can no longer cook without cutting myself. Motor neuropathy also causes tremors. I have problems spilling drinks down the front of me. I can’t control my grip. If I squeeze too much the cup breaks down the front of me. I now use a 40 ounce hydro flask where I don’t spill it. It has a built in straw. I take it to restaurants with me. I pick up a glass of water all over the table. I no longer go out to eat in public.
Had some nerve studies done recently. Only very mild neuropathy, on left side. I must conclude that most of my symptoms are due to antiseizure meds and brain damage. I have tremors too, especially when I'm tired or nervous. Continuing weight work to maintain strength.
I'm sorry about your falls.

Good morning,
My doctors also believe my neuropathy was caused by seizure meds. I took Dilantin, Phenobarbital, Mysoline, Depakote and Zarontin.
Would you share what meds doctors believe caused your neuropathy?
Take care,
Jake

Intriguing question. None of my doctors has ever pointed a finger of blame at any of my meds, none that I'm taking now nor in the past. Only one raised eyebrow: the heavy drinking I did 30+ years ago. I look forward to reading what others have to say.

Have you tried any and I mean any nerve health supplements?

Temporary foot relief from soaking in magnesium flakes. Sometimes that relief is a godsend.
