Anyone have a positive Cologuard test?

Posted by dazlin @dazlin, Nov 21, 2019

My test results came back positive. I asked what did it show, because they test for 11 different cancers or categories. They said, it just states either negative or positive for cancer. I had problems a few years back and did a colonoscopy, which came back ok. Now this!! I'm reading theres a 13 percent chance of false positive. Right now I'm extremely distraught about having to go through all Consults, tests, and dreaded preps. Orders are in for Consult with gastro, but they're booked out through January or February in Mayo. I have not received any notice for appointment yet. Dont know what to think or do.

I got positive results. I called cologuard , expecting to find out more details than just one word (“positive”). They said my doctor received more details so to contact him. My doctor sent me what he got and it was exactly the same-one word. I especially was interested to find out if the positive result was from detected blood or from dna, which Cologuard is supposed to find. Apparently Cologuard has a lot more information but doesn’t release it to patients..or doctors. The next step should be a colonoscopy , which I was hoping to avoid with the Cologuard. The colonoscopy found two polyps which were removed. I’ll need another colonoscopy in 1-3years. I won’t bother with Cologuard again.

I got negative Cologard results six months ago. I start radiation and chemo next week. Maybe it's time for a class action law suit.

Just got my positive results from the Cologard test. Kind of nervous about what this means - cancer, etc.

Cologard is a waste of time. Had 2 years of false negatives while my cancer grew. After surgery and 6 months of chemo I am still angry about the False sense of security it instilled. My surgeon said I had the tumor for at least 2 years...just get the colonoscopy to get the real results.

I attest to that ....Same scenario, going through chemo now as a result!!!!
Angry & furious but, its a little late at least for me! GET COLONOSCOPY!!!!
Cologard should be banned! Maybe, primary doctors are getting kickbacks???

When I see a cologard commercial I want to vomit. I had 2 negative Cologards the 2 years before I did my first colonoscopy. Surprise....a big bad tumor. The surgeon who removed my whole ascending colon said I had the tumor for "at least" 2 years. I was staged 3-4. NEVER use or trust Cologard Ever. Wish I could sue.
