Anyone familiar with serum bile acid?

My bile acid is 18X's over normal. I know that bile acid can build in your liver and be highly toxic among other things. But my liver enzymes are completely normal and I don't have a gallbladder nor am I pregnant. The last time it was in the low hundreds and I was told it can fluctuate but now it is higher and there is a clear pattern of it continuing to escalate. I'm really confused and was hoping someone might know more about this than I do.
