Any information on the difference between linked & Amitiza?
Hello, they found an "acute angulation in the mid transverse colon. And a nuclear motility test showed 0% transit in the large bowel. They prescribed lunges (which didn't work) & now amitiza. Does anyone have any experience w/these vs. OTC laxatives?

@judithrae, I haven't had a motility test yet and I'm not taking any medication to help with my constipation and irregularity, bloating and gas issues. Miralax stopped working for me and my doctor suggested I take the Miralax in the evening and a senna capsule in the morning. She said the Miralax draws the water into the colon but doesn't help with muscles to help with bowel movements and the senna helps with that as a mild laxative. The jury is still out on this approach for me 🙃.
What has worked well for me is Prunelax tea in the evening. It has senna which does the trick but doesn't help me with the regularity. I've also been using Heather's Tummy Fiber Acacia Senegal but struggling to find the right amount to take daily to help with the regularity.
