Any info on Small Fiber Neuropathy & Short-term Memory Loss
My neuropathic feet pain is severe and chronic. (I have not yet found any way to relieve my pain.) I continue to have severe feet pain all day and daily.
Does anyone have knowledge (preferably not anecdotal) about whether severe neuropathic pain can CAUSE or contribute to short-term memory loss? This medical journal article suggests neuropathic pain IS associated with short-term memory loss:

I wonder what the mechanism is that could cause the short-term memory loss associated with neuropathic pain.

Hi there! I've just read your article on memory, very interesting!
For my painful sfn I have been using R- alpha lipoic acid and Acetyl L Carnitine. Both are good for memory and cognition. Maybe you can look into it?
I just googled those two supplements separately, like ala and memory, and Acetyl L Carnitine and memory.
I'm sure there's other memory boost supplements, but those two are for pain and nerves.
I might have sometimes short memory loss, but I'm 59, so I just think it's getting older and more easy going!😉
