Anyone have ultrasound-guided retro-laminar cervical block? (vs ESIs)
Hi everyone,
I just found out I had moderate cervical foraminal stenosis in C7. Been suffering through intense trapezius, underarm, behind shoulder and down arm pain (no tingling, just pain) since before Thanksgiving. PT helped with the trap pain through dry needling, but the radiating pain, esp in the armpit, continues. Physiatry recommends ESI as next step, but that can have lots of serious complications from what I've been reading. A safer alternative seems to be ultrasound-guided retro-laminar cervical blocks, but not sure if they are done much in the US? Has anyone had any experience with them?
