Any Experience with Edema in Vertebrae?

On my latest MRI report 2 years post Laminectomy and fusion L3 - L5 There is Edema in the L3 - L5 vertebrae. Was wondering what that all involves and seriousness of it. Haven't met with Neurosurgeon since results...

@smn1 I understand your concern, but this question needs to be specifically answered for you by your physician. There may be many reasons something like this could happen and that may be a different reason for someone else depending on other health issues that may be involved with a diagnosis. If you have hardware screwed into your spine, it would be worth asking if that could be a cause, and how something like this may change over time. That's just a guess on my part. I did have ankle fracture hardware removed because my body seemed to be reacting to it.

OK, I'm sorry about that, I'm seeing a neurosurgeon on wednesday. About the results of the MRIs that showed this. So I was just attempting to see if anyone had any experience with this. So I might have some additional thoughts on it, but I'll just wait till wednesday.

@smn1 No apology needed. It is natural to wonder if someone else has had your experience. I hope you get an answer and a plan to address any issues. I hope it isn't an infection. What questions do you want to ask at your appointment?
