Anxiety

My ibs seems to be more brain to gut . More anxiety more than anything. Brain racing.
Dizziness, brain fog, weakness, fatique,
Muscle total body pain . Tried so many rx side effects seems worse than symptoms. I am extremely sensitive to all rx . I try very low doses but still side effects. Heat sensitivity, feeling like a zombie, blurred vision, what has anyone tried for them and mg to be effective. Lexapro, busibor, amitrtptillin, nortriptillin, Cymbalta are a few but nothing helps. I own my own company and need to function on equipment.. Dr has even tried thinking outside the box and put on Bp rx low dose to calm me down way to dizzy so now resorting back to SSRI rx prosac extremely lowest dose micromanage by dr , but I really don’t want to go back to taking. Zolof was also mentioned. Thanks for your suggestions I know everyone is different but thanks for any suggestions.

Have you tried a functional medicine and nutrionist evaluation? Doing a detox for 10 days, just eatingcertain vegetables and protein, no dairy, no gluten, no caffeine, no sugar, no processed foods, no wheat, no alcohol, integrating exercise, then you start introducing foods. dr Hyman has a good detox. You can search his info.

Gut health is very important.

Have you tried meditation? There are many guided meditations on YouTube. Many of your symptoms can be relieved. Another suggestion is biofeedback. Perhaps you can help your anxiety without drugs!

I have your same symptoms. And over the past few years, I also have been given the antidepressants for Anxiety..usually 10mg...& told to half if that was too much...which has been...even 2.5. Although, I am in the older generation catagory & a female, all medical tests for these symptoms have come back perfect (cardio, sonagrams for clots, & many other medical procedures & all blood work is in normal range. My doctors have concluded it is an Anxiety issue. A few years ago, my PTs for back problems, suggested L-Theanine, an herbal med that their husbands found helpful. I didnt receive the relief I was looking for (to take the "edge" off) & still had that "zombie" feeling...However, recently my daughter in law suggested OLLY Stress reducer Gummies that I suggested to my APRN & she said to definitely try it, but I bought not knowing it also contained L-Theanine. After a few days, I experienced that slight zombie feeling so I, like you, am back to Square One. I even applied for a Medical Marijuana card & was approved under an Anxiety diagnosis. The MM advisor suggested the THC-CBD drops. One small drop brought the zombie feeling. There are other shops you can explore where "Cards" arent needed to explore the calming effects of certain herb products. The doctors say I am not giving the meds enough time to get established in my body , however, I dont have the luxury of having that feeling for a long time living alone. My doctor referred me to a psychiatrist at my request , & unfortunately, we did not bond in a first visit so I am waiting for another recommendation. A medical advisor suggested Calm.com that provides many meditations & alternative methods of calmness provisions to try on your own. I apologize for such a lengthy feedback, however, reading your similar story made me feel less alone & hoping something in my journey might help you...what works for one may not work for another. Some of my friends take Gabapentin for themselves & their animals:). It also was not for me when I was prescribed for back pain & was unable to tolerate. I also was given a test by my doctor in the beginning of this journey which showed my body did not tolerate all the antidepressant meds you also have tried. Keep reaching out. You will be in my thoughts & prayers.

Yes I have tried also Gabepentin horrible side effects.
All pharmacist say wait 4-6 weeks for the blood levels of the chemicals in the rx to really know if drug is effective. I have found pharmacist so more knowledgeable about these drugs than Drs. The purpose is to calm the body down but not at the expense of total zombie unable to function. Yes like you I have scored rx to small amounts to start with.
I eat extremely clean .
The app Nerva is truly amazing but unfortunately still need rx and therapist with it.
I have increased my water and the body aches seem to have decreased. I thought I was drinking plenty till I started measuring.
I walk daily , and get massages weekly it helps a little .
Waking up to positive thoughts and prayer I try to do each am.
Take good care of you!

I am doing the same thing..Increasing water intake...My friends said by using a straw to drink liquids, I am just sipping instead of gulping...LOL..so I have changed my approach & purchased the bottles that measure your intake every 2 hours.
I will also check the Nerva app & make attempts at the meditations. My last surgery procedure concluded yesterday so perhaps my mindset will improve.
I wish you all the best, & hope if you find a solution, you will share. 🙂
