Alcohol and neuropathy

1. Has there been any legitimate research on how alcohol affects the symptoms of neuropathy?
2. Has there been any legitimate research on how alcohol affects the progression of neuropathy?
Individual's own experience is fine but a study by Mayo, Cleveland Clinic, John's Hopkins etc. is what I am specifically interested in.

@mikead63, I've seen a few research articles on alcohol and neuropathy but there many. Here's one from Mayo Clinic:

Google Scholar shows many more research papers from all over the world, you can tweak the search parameters to find more specific articles - https://scholar.google.com/scholar?as_ylo=2025&q=alcoholism+%2Bneuropathy+%2Bclinical+study+%2Bmayo+clinic&hl=en&as_sdt=0,24.
