ALA and Mercury
I’ve read good things about ALA for neuropathy. I also read a blurb about not using ALA if you have mercury fillings. It can cause mercury to move in your body. Is anyone taking ALA and has mercury fillings and had any problems?

Hello @cat30064, I've been taking R-ALA (600 mg twice daily) since 2016. I've had amalgam fillings that were done prior to 2016 and still have them in my mouth. I haven't had any adverse side effects or problems. I wished I had an answer for you. Reading the FDA information on the amalgam fillings that contain mercury might be helpful but I think if I had a concern, I would discuss it with my dentist and primary care doctor. Hopefully other members can also share any experience they have with amalgam (mercury) fillings.

Can you tell me what brand of R-ALA that you take? Thanks!
I now take the R-ALA that is included in the Protocol (https://theprotocolworks.com/). Before it was developed by the Facebook group mentioned on their website we used to maintain a list of each of the supplements and ordered them online. I have used several different R-ALA supplements in the past, here's a few:
