airplane travel and cold climates

Anyone have experience with airplane travel during colder months, to cold climates, with peripheral neuropathy? I have both PN and venous insufficiency, so I am wondering if it would be actually doable at all.

Yes. I have travelled with neuropathic pain in my legs. The travel itself didn’t make it worse. But the country where I went we didn’t have central heating . So it was hard to manage.

Hi @arflmi33, I don't like airplane travel at all but that's just me and due to not being able to walk, stand, or sit for longer periods of time. Long car rides are the same for me but if I had to do it in the dead of winter here in Minnesota, I think I would rather fly and get there quicker. I have neuropathy in my legs but don't have venous insufficiency that I'm aware of. I do have lymphedema in my legs so I have to wear compression socks which I think also help with venous insufficiency. Because you are sitting a lot on a plane, you might want to look into some compression socks unless you already wear them. Do you wear compression socks?

Temperatures below 60 make my neuropathy worse. Soft warm compression socks help!

@johnbishop I wear compression calf sleeves. I would wear socks, but so far I have not found any that fit my wide toe box.
