AI drug and dietary supplements
I am taking anastrozole as my AI drug. What dietary supplements have your oncologist or doctors been recommending? Thanks for the feedback.

The only supplements that have been recommended are Calcium and Vitamin D. Initial dexa scan showed a mild osteopenia so PCP put me on this. Once I started ai therapy, oncologist recommended doubling it. But otherwise, no other recommended supplements. On my own, I take UC-II cartilage for joints, fish oil (heart and cholesterol control), vit K2 (helps Ca/D3enter bones over blood vessels and kidneys), and berberine (ai pushed me into prediabetes and increased ldl-c and this has helped control it). 2nd dexa scan still showed the osteopenia (on Anastrazole) but last one on June showed normal bone (on exemestane).
Hi, I'm taking D3 with K2, calcium and magnesium. All approved by oncolgy nurse practitioner. I also take omega 3 also approved. I started letrozole in early March.
When I was on anastrozole my oncologist mostly suggest vitamin D and calcium for bone health, and sometimes omega-3 for joint stiffness. It really depend on your blood work so better to check levels first. I also read some AI-driven biotech groups like Ardigen.
looking into drug–nutrient interactions, so it’s interesting how diet and supplements can support treatment. Always confirm with your doctor before adding new supplements.
Thank you.
