After 18 months of tymlos

Posted by tarponmkk @tarponmkk, Oct 17 9:41am

I just finished my bone density test today after 18 months of tymlos. The tech measured my height today. Same machine and same tech. I gained one inch of height!!! I think this is a good sign but I’m hesitate on being happy until I see my results - I’ll do follow up

Are you taller because your spine is straighter?

That’s what I think
Could be increased vitamins and activity. Happy I didn’t loose any height !!! It’s been such a journey
I will discuss it with my internist and rheumatologist when I get my results in a few days.
I’ll post what they say.

Hi @tarponmkk, If you are comfortable sharing, what did you find out about your results with Tymlos from your internist and rheumatologist? Hopefully your gain of height was a good omen for your results with Tymlos overall.

I too have been on Tymlos for 18 months and had my Dexa yesterday. Although I didn’t get any taller, my results were good. Compared to my Dexa in May 2023 currently:
L1-L4=T -1.7 (was -2.2)
Left femoral neck =T -1.6 (was -2.1)
Bilateral hip =T -1.5 (was -1.8)

Overall 6.8% increase in lumbar spine and 5.3% increase in femur
TBS=1.356 (was 1.36)
