Advice on Penis pumps
I am 4 months post prostate surgery and soon to start radiation since some cancer still evident. The mental stress of cancer is bad enough but not having sex with my wife adds greatly to my getting down . I bought a pump from menmd a month ago but not able to get rigid enough for sex and the rubber tension ring is semi painful and makes any amount of of pleasure difficult. I’m tempted to try injections but with radiation and hormone treatments which kill my testosterone, maybe I should be more patient?

I’m happy for you, not sure about leaving me in the dust , try getting up at 2am , travel a 100 miles and fighting a giant tuna by yourself and getting home 15 hrs later.
I was recommended the book "Life After Prostatectomy and Other Urologic Surgeries: 10 weeks from Incontinence to Continencee" By Gaglani. Available on Amazon. She is a pelvic floor PT specialist who has treated thousands of guys with our problem. Comprehensive discussion of the causes of incontinence and a specific day by day game plan to improve. It's worth a try before resorting to surgery.

3 ReactionsI am older but far from mentally and physically impaired - in fact I would probably leave you in the dust . We continue to travel the world . Have a winter home in California and I play golf 6 times per week - off a 6 handicap BLUE TEES - PGA WEST , LA QUINTA . Sorry , with your attitude you should be on life support . Life for you has a narrow focus .

Sorry friend but we each have our priorities what makes our life important. Sounds like you’re older than I but as a hot blooded French and Italian at a young minded 78 yr old love is is the most gift of life that I live by . If I knew for sure I was done in that department I would feel I was on life support. My guess is you are older mentally and physically than I . Quality of life is more important than being on life support. I have lived an exciting and rewarding life life until now , time will tell if I can accept fee like I’m on life support

I never cease to be amazed at tthe concern with an erection and sex .
How aboout priority # 1 " Surviving Cancer " Not dying too soon .
I also read about husbands being turned off by their spouses losing one or both breasts .
If sex is a priority - Something is seriously wrong in this relationship .
And believe me - I loved sex as much as anybody , mybe more . Get past it and enjoy the rest of your life with your family . Happily married 58 years .
How late is too late to even begin rehab?
I'm still struggling with incontinence & waiting to see another surgeon about an artificial urinary sphincter.
Erectile function is way down the list of priorities right now.
Four months post-op.
