Advice on Penis pumps
I am 4 months post prostate surgery and soon to start radiation since some cancer still evident. The mental stress of cancer is bad enough but not having sex with my wife adds greatly to my getting down . I bought a pump from menmd a month ago but not able to get rigid enough for sex and the rubber tension ring is semi painful and makes any amount of of pleasure difficult. I’m tempted to try injections but with radiation and hormone treatments which kill my testosterone, maybe I should be more patient?

I was voted Most Violent Golf Player at school. I just wacked the hell out of that ball. What hole?
Thanks Peter we all deserve our own Priorities, none of us should judge another, we only have one life to live, if playing golf is more important than someday having sex and feeling like the man we all want to regain, so be it
My Viking not for sale either maybe when I get old
Bet my house on the ocean you didn’t do all that at 78 , time to give our egos a rest but if you can run a 12 min mile now not when you were younger, I take you to Italy for a vacation
I landed many big moose in my life in Thunderbay Ontario Canada ( and dragged them out of the bush ) , the largest concentration of moose in Canada . Also 415 lb plus sturgeon from the Fraser River in British Columbia ( catch & release ) . If they were untaged you taged them in the boat before release . The largest caught in this river was over 1000 lbs . Over 300 lb is common .
No big deal - a sporting day out - no stress .
Regarding a Mercedes . I own a Gull Wing Vintage Merc . It's not for sale.
Good point taken.
Good luck .
This is going off-topic & a little annoying, frankly.
clandeboye1 - you wonder why sexual function is important etc....
Just before I entered the operating theatre, the surgeon asked me "What are your priorities? Getting rid of the cancer, then continence, then erectile function?"
And I said "Yes. That's exactly it".
That should be everyone's priority.
So you're right... getting rid of the cancer is number one.
No idea where you're up to, but once we get through the surgery & are cleared of cancer, the next hurdle is incontinence.
At that point, sexual function is a distant 3rd.
That's where I'm up to.
Sexual function is a nice-to-have for me at the moment.
Once I get the incontinence resolved - possibly through an artificial urinary sphincter - then sexual function will be the next focus.
So those here asking about sexual function have probably overcome the first 2 hurdles & are now up to the 3rd.
Lucky them.
So don't put them down for caring about the next step. It doesn't mean that's all they care about.
It means that's where they're up to on the list of things to fix.
/end vent
I forgive you for thinking you could leave me in the dust, I still can run 12 min miles and 2 weeks ago dragged a 200 lb deer by myself over a half mile. Maybe in our next life I’ LL let you leave me in the dust but not this one. And I’ll buy you a new Mercedes if you come with me next summer and can fight a 5-700 lb tuna by yourself, usually takes about 2-4 hrs . You’re a gutsy guy for an old timer , I respect that
Carts are mandatory however I don't drive and walk between shots as much as possible .
I am a " VERY ACTIVE " 85 year old and do walk courses where carts are not mandatory -- often , non always , carrying my clubs .
Thanks for your health comment -- The same to you .
All the radiologists, doctors and surgeons I talked to were quite open about the fact that the erection returning could take months or years or could be never.
I made the decision and I'm quite happy with the results. I'm cancer free and physically recovered except for the erection thing. If the penis starts working in future then great, if it never does then so what.
There is being alive then there is being dead from cancer. I have had several friends and relatives die with AND from cancer it was never pretty nor easy.
