Has anyone tried acupuncture for trigeminal neuralgia pain? Were you able to get any relief? Any suggestions on finding an acupuncturist who knows about TN would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, acupuncture works great! Trigeminal neuralgia is kind of like a migraine, but on your face. It is one of the most horrible pains I’ve ever experienced. I learned something, however, and got rid of it permanently: it was due to hairline fractures in my teeth. For a couple years, my fancy dentist tapped my teeth, adjusted my bite, and everything else to help locate the pain, eventually, the pain in what seem like my teeth, and in my gums turned into trigeminal neuralgia. It took me down straight down with only opioids being able to temporarily relieve the worst of the pain. Then one day my tooth broke. My wisdom tooth broke on top. When my tooth broke. There was zero pain and the extraction took five minutes. Strangely about four weeks later the bottom wisdom tooth fractured I had that one extracted. There was a choice to fill it, but the trigeminal neuralgia was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced so I’m 68. I don’t need those two wisdom teeth. Hairline fractures in your teeth are not picked up by x-rays. That’s what I learned so all the BS at the doctors with neurologist and specialist was all a waste of time. It was in my fractured teeth and couldn’t be detected. So I suggest finding an awesome dentist and specialist that may be able to help track down a problem in your teeth that is causing the neuralgia. Good luck there is hope for this horrible horrible condition!
