acl surgery patellar tendon

i got acl and meniscus surgry awhile back with a patellar graft. my knee feels fine. i notice that the area where the patellar is grafted is a little hallowed. where the actual patellar is the least hallowed, the top circle is a little more, and the bottom "ridge" is pretty much flat. I know they cut a little bone at each end but is it supposed to stay hallowed?
