Abdominal pain along with lower back pain

I have osteoporosis and have had a compression fracture last April which I had treated with kypoplasty. I have had back pain flare up again along with tenderness or soreness in my abdominal area. I’m not sure if this is radiating from my back. Has anyone had this? I’m afraid I might have another compression fracture. Supposed to start Evenity in the new year. My Gastroenterologist has set me up for a CT scan next week. Want to clear up GI issues before I start other treatment.

Is the abdominal soreness new after the kyphoplasty. Sometimes the reduced abdominal space lost by the fracture can cause pain and bloating. The CT scan may be to check for pancreatitis, which can follow kyphoplasty. The CT scan will focus on the abdomen but might also reveal a fracture. Be sure and ask the radiologist to read the scan for possible vertebral fracture.
My only experience is second had so I hope you'll get experienced answers.

@gently
The ab tightening or soreness had started before the Kyphoplasty. But was better for awhile after. It has been worse the last month. Especially since my colonoscopy and endoscopy.
I was thinking the same thing regarding the CT scan. It is being done with contrast . Not sure if that makes a difference.

Very possible that the intense cleaning out before a colonoscopy and the iodine oral contrast can mess with the gut…after the colonoscopy go easy on the diet for a few days…before and after the CT, go easy on the diet—hydration is especially important. Having had these tests close to each other challenged me to pay attention to self care……..and remember there are all kinds of nerve connections between the abdomen and the back.

It never hurts just to be certain there isn’t a new compression fracture
