5 months post op with stiffness
I am 5 months post op TKR. If I sit too long, stand too long or even after walking and exercising, my knee goes back to being stiff and dealing with neuropathy in my foot.
I can bend it and walk steady.
What is the duration of this stiffness?
This is rather annoying.

I'm 5 months from TKR and MUA and I'm having the same issues! Can't seem to shake the stiffness and now I'm having a little pain (infrequent so far) in my toes and upper part of my foot. Standing for any length of time makes stiffness worse. Not giving up! I walk 2 miles daily and do exercises. Hope you start to see improvement soon! Hang in there!🫂💖
Standing or sitting too long is brutal. But I keep walking and exercising on my recumbent and bike pedals.
Gotta keep pushing through. My husband bought me a t-shirt saying, "I survived total knee replacement" and
"Total knee replacement warrior, not for the weak" 😅🤣
I agree that standing or sitting too long will bring about stiffness. When sitting at my desk the best thing for me is to stand, bend my knee behind me, then lower that knee to the ground and come back up, while resting the instep of the operative leg on a chair or bench; do that for a minute or 2 every hour and it helped me greatly. When standing still for more than 5 minutes I would get stiff too, then need to flex the leg several times, better yet, walk around, but I noticed mine when standing and talking to someone when you are at an event, then just need to keep moving.
