Good evening @cekkk, I see you have been a member of Connect for a couple of years. I am glad you have discovered medical cannabis and hope you continue to find products that help you attain your desired quality of life.

Would you mind telling me why you feel that CBD is a waste of money for you? For me, finding the right balance of CBD and THC in topicals and tinctures ensures consistent and valuable results. When I started using cannabis 11 years ago I was introduced to the Indica and Sativa strains. I find the 1:1 CBD/THC or 2:1 CBD/THC products more targeted for my desired results. However, I am always ready to learn.

May you be safe and protected.
Chris

First, let me make clear that I know nothing about marijuana. I bought one I'll call it relightable cigarette on advice of a clerk at the first dispensary that opened in town probably 2 years ago. Now, one of anything is hardly a fair test. I thought it helped a little bit, but when you're unsure, chalk it up to wishful thinking.

I then went back and purchased chocolates with the strength of, I believe it was 100 mg. I did that a few times and quit because I was not seeing any significant result. That was for the discomfort I had as a result of foot drop.

Fast forward almost 4 years. The nerves that controls the muscle or muscles in my left thigh took away probably 75% of the ability to lift that leg from a sitting or lying position. And with that I am experiencing some degree of pain 24 hours a day. Some of it can prevent sleep. And it's random. For some period of time, minutes or hours, my skin might feel like it's on fire on that thigh. Other times that diminishes substantially but then my knee will hurt, and then the inner thigh. All this is punctuated with stabbing pains that really catch your attention, but only for a second.

This means the foot drop leg, the right one, has now become my good leg, as I've had years to adapt to that problem. But this pain business is bothering me. I've been advised Years Ago by the pain management person to look into marijuana, that's why I did in the first place.

But now I'm reading that you really need to be inhaling this stuff and that there are different types. I've done a little research on the Google School of Medicine site. It's telling me that to reduce inflammation I would be better off getting Delta 8, whatever that is. Hopefully the clerk at the dispensary will know. I'm not sure it makes a big difference between 8 and 9. maybe he can inform me. Anyway, I believe I'll give that a shot today. We now have a second legal dispensary that is less than a mile and a half from our home, so I will stop in there.

As for CBD, I tried it in several forms 4 years ago and got zip in return. As a matter of fact, I still have some oil and some salve here in the medicine cabinet. Perhaps you can advise me as to what I might findhelpful.

Thanks for your response.
