Hi Colleen I have been living with this since 2008, though diagnosed with Syndrome X in 2013, when I suffered an Nstemi HA. At least it now has a name MVHD. I have been suffering from Angina on a regular basis and unfortunately even though I was on a Beta Blocker, Ace Inhibitor and also Imdur amongst other things, I had another Nstemi HA nearly 6 weeks ago. Thankfully I do not suffer from fatigue. I have a very positive out look and a determination to live my life to the fullest, I truly believe that is helping me to live with this disease. I am interested to hear from anyone who has the same diagnosis and what medication they are on and if it is working for them. I am now taking a Calcium Channel Blocker in place of the Beta Blocker, but unfortunately I am still getting angina on exertion.

@smiles Just saw you mention the post was old…but it felt so good to post today. I almost have the same story. After a NSTEMI, 2 stents in RCA and 6 years of angina, they are just starting to talk about microvascular disease. I take a similar regimen, Metoprolol ER, IMDUR, nitroglycerin prn, Aspirin, Repatha, Nexletol and Ranexa. Ranexa was a miracle med at first, then I hit the max dosage along with IMDUR. So Metoprolol has been a saving grace.
My biggest issue is that I feel better and want to do more exercise. Also, I don’t get angina during the exertion, usually not until the next day. So when I increase, and maybe only 15 minutes more, I end up flat in my bed for 2 days. My mind says I am still in my 20’s…the 64 year old body says no way. I worked up to 30 minutes of walking everyday intermixed with resistance training and Pilates - but not every day.
No answers here, but have learned I am not so tough and rugged as I used to be. 💪😉✌️
