I was told by two neurologist sometimes the EMG and nerve conduction test are not accurate. You can have neuropathy and it show up months later on the testing. That’s what happened with my hands. The EMG/ nerve conduction test showed negative. I kept cutting my fingers no feeling and kept getting stitches. Then it showed up positive on the EMG/ nerve conduction test months later.

I wonder if he was wrong too, but he’s a pain specialist who treats people with neuropathy all the time. I guess I can try to get a second opinion, but my symptoms are less severe now than when I first saw him.

Even if I do have it, the remedy would be to correct the cause I guess. So, I’ve already lowered my A1c, if that was the cause.

And if long covid caused it….I’m not sure what you do but treat the symptoms. And, so I’d want to treat the slight numb feeling. I really don’t have pain. One thing everyone who examines me agrees on and that is that I have full sensation and good circulation.

I wish I did know for sure.
