@chm64 - Hello! I have been following the replies you are receiving, and I LOVE to see how many people are ready to support you! I hope you feel less anxious, but if you have any additional questions or concerns you'd like to talk about, we are here for you!

I would like to tell you about a test I had. It's ONLY appropriate if you have DCIS. It's a Risk Assessment test that my Radiation Oncologist ordered to evaluate the value of using Radiation Treatments: "DCISionRT" by PreludeDX. https://preludedx.com/patients/

Treatments for DCIS do not include chemo; but may include Radiation Treatments. DCISionRT evaluates a patient’s individual biology along with other risk factors to provide a personalized risk assessment. It predicts the risk of a future DCIS or invasive breast cancer recurrence over the next 10 years with and without Radiation Treatments.

Initially, I told the Radiology Oncologist I did NOT want Radiation Treatments; I was very concerned about the risks associated with receiving radiation.

It was only when I received the results of the DCISionRT test that I realized my future cancer risk WITHOUT the radiation treatments was ELEVATED. With an accuracy of 94%, the results are very reliable. So, yes, based on my results, I decided to do the recommended six weeks of treatment.
